Request for Proposal: Summer Program Grant

Overview:

The Rhode Island Education Collective (the Collective) is pleased to announce the availability of funds to support Youth Summer Programming ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to support the successful implementation of a summer learning program(s) for youth between the ages of 3-22. Programs that are awarded funding must be able to demonstrate a strong, rigorous academic component. All submissions should discuss how they will address the needs of multilingual and differently-abled student populations while also addressing strategies for combating summer learning loss.

Eligibility:

This RFP is open to all public schools (district and charter) and community based organizations. Eligible cities/towns include:

  • Providence

  • North Providence

  • Pawtucket

  • Central Falls

  • East Providence

  • Woonsocket

  • West Warwick

  • Johnston

  • Newport

Grant Amount:

Grant funds ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 will be awarded to the programs that can best describe how their program(s) will meet the academic needs of students while also including fun, hands-on enrichment activities.

Grant Timeline:

  • Submission deadline: June 28, 2024

  • Anticipated start date: July 8, 2024

  • End of grant term: September 30, 2024
