Our Approach
We empower the people who are part of our schools and neighborhoods to create the change our students need. By providing students, families, educators, and community members with resources, advocacy training, and opportunities to collaborate and experiment, together we will create and implement solutions to the most pressing challenges in education.
Our programs and initiatives directly address the needs of students from Rhode Island communities who are most in need. Our goal is to ensure that every child in our state – especially those living in our capital city of Providence – will have the opportunity to attend a high-quality public school that meets their unique needs.

Building a Brighter Future
We are building a space for Rhode Islanders, especially those historically marginalized by the public education system, to share their dreams for their children and communities.
By centering the voices of those most impacted by our schools, we will create sustained and significant improvements in educational outcomes. We will also build a coalition of leaders who have the power, access, and resources to advocate for their communities for generations to come.
How We Work
There are three values at the heart of everything we do:
Students First. We prioritize students' needs, interests, and aspirations in every decision we make.
Equity. We strive to eliminate barriers to education, working against racism in all its forms to give all children access to equitable learning resources and experiences.
Collaboration. We co-create with students, families, educators, and community members, relying on their experiences and perspectives to inform solutions that achieve the best outcomes for students.
